STEPS OF MAKING BAKED TALABA RECIPE WITHOUT AN OVEN
STEP 1:
Flame the grill while you prepare the oysters for baking.

STEP 2:
While the oven is preheating, you can prepare the butter and garlic mixture. Take a saucepan and add 2 tablespoons of butter.
Let the butter melt over medium heat, then add the minced garlic. Be sure to turn the heat down if you notice the garlic starting to burn.
Remove from the heat once the garlic has turned a golden hue and has softened and fragrant.

STEP 3:
Prepare the talaba by washing it carefully in cold water or placing it on ice, making sure to take your time and thoroughly clean each and every oyster.
You should also be careful not to break the shell and watch for broken pieces of shell that could be stuck in the meat of the talaba.

STEP 4:
Fill a pot with water and bring it to a boil. Pour a little boiled water into each oyster, making sure to squeeze any excess water out of the shell.

STEP 5:
Pour the melted butter and half of the butter-garlic mixture over each talaba, then season with ground pepper (and any other seasonings or herbs you prefer).
Cover the oysters with grated fresh cheese, and then transfer them to a grilling tray.
Bake the talaba for about 15 minutes, or until the cheese has melted and formed a golden crust on the talaba.

STEP 6:
Once the oysters are baked, top them with the chopped parsley, as well as the other half of the butter and garlic mixture.
You can also drizzle a little lemon juice on top for a hint of that refreshing citrus tartness, or serve them with a lemon wedge.
