- 4 medium or large potatoes of similar size
- 100 grams of butter
- a handful of parsley
- 2 garlic cloves
- oregano to taste
- salt and pepper
- A splash of extra virgin olive oil
HOW TO MAKE BUTTERY HASSELBACK POTATO RECIPE
Preheat the oven to 200 degrees Celsius. Under running water, wash the potatoes. Because the potatoes are roasted with their skins, they must be very clean. We can use a kitchen sponge to assist ourselves.
Cut the potatoes into extremely thin slices without going all the way to the bottom. The cuts must be accordion-style attached to the potatoes and as thin as possible, about half a centimeter. Put the potatoes in a baking tray and set aside.
Mix the butter with the parsley and the garlic, which we will have previously chopped, and season with salt, pepper, and oregano to taste.
We stuff the potatoes with this butter, a portion every two or three pieces, and any leftover goes on the potatoes. Drizzle with olive oil and bake until the potatoes are cooked, which should take about 45 minutes.
Serve freshly made.
