One of the most popular Italian dishes in India is the classic spaghetti with tomato sauce recipe. The Indian palate enjoys the tanginess and spice of tomato sauce.

Spaghetti with Red Sauce is a tasty, vegetarian, and simple recipe. For a very long time, I have been cooking pasta at home.

For as long as I can remember, this recipe for homemade spaghetti sauce has been a family favorite. The tastes are excellent, and it’s quite easy to make.

This is one of those meals that is always delicious and ideal for busy weeknights right now! Furthermore, spaghetti is a dish that no finicky eater would ever refuse!

INGREDIENTS

  • 1 small onion
  • 2 garlic cloves
  • 2 tablespoons extra virgin olive oil
  • 500 ml of crushed natural tomato
  • 1 pinch of salt
  • 1 pinch of ground black pepper
  • 1 tablespoon of oregano
  • 10 g of coarse salt
  • 200g spaghetti
  • 1 teaspoon sweet paprika
  • 100 ml of the spaghetti cooking water

HOW TO MAKE CLASSIC SPAGHETTI WITH TOMATO SAUCE RECIPE

STEP 1

The first thing we have to do is prepare the tomato sauce. To do this, peel and finely chop 1 small onion and 2 cloves of garlic

STEP 2

In a frying pan, heat 2 tablespoons of extra virgin olive oil, add the chopped onion and garlic cloves and fry them over medium heat for about 8 minutes, or until we see that the onion becomes translucent.

STEP 3

Add 500 ml of crushed natural tomatoes to the pan, season with a pinch of salt and ground black pepper, and 1 tablespoon of oregano, and continue cooking for 10 more minutes.

STEP 4

While the tomatoes are frying, we heat a pot with plenty of water. When it starts to boil, add 10 grams of coarse salt and 200 grams of spaghetti. 

Stir for a few seconds so that the pasta does not stick to each other and cook for the time indicated by the manufacturer, which in our case was 9 minutes so that the pasta is al dente. 

Drain the spaghetti and reserve 100 ml of the cooking water to add to the sauce.

STEP 5

Add 1 teaspoon of sweet paprika to the tomato sauce, mix and add 100 ml of the reserved spaghetti cooking water. Mix again and continue cooking for a couple more minutes.

STEP 6

Finally, add the cooked spaghetti to the tomato sauce and mix well so that the ingredients and flavors are integrated.

Once the red spaghetti with tomatoes is finished, we serve it immediately to eat it freshly made.
