Double Chocolate Chip Cookies Alton Brown is a classic cookie that has been around for decades. The recipe is simple and straightforward. There is no need to use any fancy ingredients to make these cookies, just a few common ones.
Ingredients and Preparation
- Eight ounces of unsalted butter
- Twelve ounces of bread flour
- One teaspoon of kosher salt
- One teaspoon of baking soda
- Two ounces of granulated sugar
- Eight ounces of light brown sugar
- One large egg
- One large egg yolk
- One ounce of whole milk
- One and a half teaspoons of vanilla extract
- Twelve ounces of semisweet chocolate chips
Preparation of making Double Chocolate Chip Cookies Alton Brown
First, we’re going to melt unsalted butter in two sticks eight ounces sixteen tablespoons 48 teaspoons in a heavy medium saucepan over low heat.
Set aside to cool slightly.
Mix a mixture of white flour, salt, baking powder, and baking soda.
Then add the granulated sugar and brown sugar.

Chill the batter for 1 hour.
Preheat the oven to 375 degrees
Add batter into oil lined mold or parchment paper
when baking two sheets, bake them for 15 minutes in the oven
Remove from the oven, and wait at least 5 minutes before serving.
