INGREDIENTS

- 400g wheat flour

- 40 g of corn flour (Maizena type)

HOW TO MAKE GRANDMA’S CHERRY PIE
To make this American Cherry Pie, you will have to prepare the dough on one hand and the cherry filling on the other. Then, we will see, step by step, each of these elaborations.
How to prepare the dough for the cherry pie
STEP 1
Put into the mixer bowl 400 grams of wheat flour and 250 grams of cold unsalted butter. Mix until the batter resembles breadcrumbs like the one in the photo.

STEP 2
Add 50 grams of very cold water and 1 pinch of salt. Mix until all the ingredients are incorporated, trying not to beat the mixture too much so that it does not heat up.

STEP 3
Divide the dough into 2 balls and cover with cling film. Crush it lightly and place it in the refrigerator.

HOW TO PREPARE THE BEST CHERRY PIE
STEP 1
Put 1 kilo of pitted cherries, 180 grams of sugar, and 40 grams of cornmeal in a saucepan, and mix well.

STEP 2
Bring to medium heat and cook for 20 minutes, until the mixture thickens slightly. Remove from heat and let cool completely.

HOW TO ASSEMBLE CHERRY PIE
STEP 1
