Vegan Waffles without Baking Powder are a perfect option for a rich and complete breakfast. The ingredients we need are the ones we always have on hand, so preparing these vegan waffles is very simple and quick. You can accompany these spelled flour waffles with your favorite fruit, maple syrup, agave syrup, chocolate syrup, etc.
In this recipe for whole-grain waffles that I share with RecetasGratis, we are not going to use any dairy products, eggs, oil, or another source of fat, therefore, they are a very healthy option that will provide enough energy to face the day
Ingredients to make vegan waffles:
- 1½ cups wholemeal spelled flour
- ¼ cup brown sugar (or more)
- 1 teaspoon of yeast powder
- ¼ teaspoon of salt
- 1¼ cups of almond milk or other
- 1 teaspoon apple cider vinegar
- 1 unit of Kiwi
- 1 unit of Nectarine
- 10 units of Cherries
- 1 splash of chocolate syrup
The first step to making these vegan waffles is to mix the dry ingredients in a bowl: whole spelled flour, sugar, salt, and yeast.
Add the liquid ingredients to the bowl: non-dairy milk and vinegar. We mix well to incorporate well all the products of the whole wheat waffle recipe.
Preheat the oven to 200ºC. Grease the silicone waffle makers (molds) a little and pour the spelled waffle batter inside.
We bake vegan waffles for about 20 minutes and check with a toothpick if the dough is ready.
Meanwhile, we cut the fruit into small pieces and the cherries in half. Finally, we unmold the vegan waffles and serve them with fruit and chocolate syrup.
